Your host, Danièle, was born in the Loire Valley castles area, but she has lived in Paris since her childhood. She lives alone with her cat Simpson.

Danièle loves Paris and she knows it very well. She will be able to give you good advice on where to go, apart from the main tourist centres, to see the hidden unspoilt places. She is very friendly and will receive you as true friends from afar.

Your host’s area

This bed and breakfast is the only one of our accommodations, which is not located inside Paris. We accepted it among the rare accommodations that we select for our clients because:
- it is only a few minutes walk from the border of Paris, in a very Parisian, smart and lively district, with many restaurants and cafés, as well as food shops.
- it is less expensive than other equivalent accommodations located inside Paris.
- Danièle, the host, is extremely friendly.

The building where Danièle lives is three minutes’ walk from the subway station Louise Michel at Levallois-Perret, and ten minutes’ walk from Paris at Porte Maillot.

It is easy to access with public transportation, in particular with Air France buses which come from the airports to Porte Maillot.

Your host accommodation

Danièle’s apartment is located on the ground floor of the building and has a private terrace of 30 square meters, completely surrounded by plants and flowers.

Upon entry into the apartment, is the living room and a dining room with an American style kitchen. This main room gives access to the terrace, bathroom, toilets and to Danièle’s private parts of the apartment.

The guest room is very independent as you have an access via the terrace; You are free to access the terrace and to the main room of the apartment as much as you want.

Your bedroom N° 410
The bedroom which is offered by Danièle is approximately 14 square meters, with a French window which opens on to the large terrace.

It is furnished with a double bed (140 x 200 cm) with a new mattress a wardrobe and a chest of drawers. There is a piano in the bedroom, you can play it if you like.

A set for warm drinks is at your disposal in the bedroom, as well as documentation and tourist books on Paris and some dictionaries.

The bathroom and toilets
The bathroom has to be shared with your host, but she will always give you priority use.
It is equipped with a shower and a sink.

A Jazzy B&B in Paris

We have a MAGNIFICENT new B&B in Paris - just landed this week!

Your own apartment AND unique garden in Paris!
Built in the 1870s the building was once part of a convent. So unique! Our Parisian host Marc is a well known jazz conductor and plays the sax at the famous 'Caveau de la Huchette' Jazz Club in the St Germain!
Marc offers great advice on the most famous places in Paris.

In the 17th district, not far from the Congress Centre and a few minutes’ walk from the Champs-Elysées, he offers more than a B&B, but a complete apartment located close to his which has its own private terrace over Marc’s garden, a true wonder and a rare luxury in Paris! You can have breakfast at Marc’s home or in your own apartment, or in the garden; as you wish.

Rates:
149euro - 1 person
180euro - 2 persons
204euro per night - 3 persons

Your host's area

Marc lives in a very residential area, close to the Congress Centre with its concert hall, exhibitions, shops and restaurants. The Arc of Tiumph and the Champs-Elysées are only a few minutes' walk from there. Very close, you will also find the Ternes Square with luxury fashion shops and two open-air markets. Public transportation (buses, subways, RER) are very close and will allow you to go everywhere in Paris fast and easily.

Marcs' home

Built in 1870 the building was first a convent for bretons nurses, before being transformed into apartments in 1950-60. The cloister has been transformed into six individual gardens. Marc bought two of these gardens to create one larger one of approximately160 square meters.

This garden in the heart of Paris is incredible. Decorated as an English style garden, it is full of curiosities such as a pond with gold fishes, a path with pots in the shape of an elephant on both sides, a palm tree, a banana tree and the most interesting: a real small creole house where you can have your meals, read or just organize your next visits.

You can have complete access to the garden and stay there as much as you want. At the back of the garden, he had the creole house built always available to you.

Marc's apartment is very quiet. It is composed of two parts  Marc's private part, and the apartment which is for the guests. In order to join these two parts, there is on one side a large garden and on the other side a private entry that give access to the two entry doors.
Your accommodation in the independent B&B / aparement N° 401

More than a simple guest room, but a complete apartment of 34m2 with a large bedroom of 20 square meters, a bathroom and a kitchen, including breakfast. Your host will be there at any time and available to answer your questions.

Marc will welcome you and explain all the specificities of the apartment. He will give you information on the area and will give you the keys of the apartment.

He will be at your disposal during your entire stay if you have any questions and he will serve breakfasts daily.

Your bedroom

The bedroom is equipped with a double bed (140 x 190 cm). The bed base and the headboard are of Indonesian style. The mattress is new, thick, without springs. The bed is prepared with sheets and a blanket (no quilt). The pillows do not have feathers.

There are cabinets for your personal belongings, a chest of drawers and a Voltaire armchair.

The additional bed for one person is hidden in a special cupboard.

Unusually there is an authentic wooden horse in the bedroom which comes from a merry-go-round of the end of the 19th Century, and an ivory statue.

You will have a large flat screen television in the bedroom, integrated in the furniture along the wall facing the bed. There is also a fan in the bedroom.

Your kitchen

Everything has been carefully prepared and organised by Marc, in particular the screen made of wrought iron to separate the kitchen from the bedroom, so that the whole space remains functional but keeps at the same time all its charm.

The kitchen is well equipped with hot plates, a refrigerator, an oven, a Nespresso coffee machine with caps, a luxury kettle, which can be used to boil eggs (with an integrated hourglass to check the cooking), a toaster with a grill pan to warm croissants.

Your bathroom and toilets

Your bathroom is private and large enough. It offers a bath with a shower on the wall, a sink and a dressing table with two mirrors.

Dressing gowns, bath towels, bath products as well as a hair dryer will be at your disposal. You will also have slippers.

The toilet is private and outside the bathroom. Its decoration is amazing. You cannot miss the ‘paper tree’ made by Marc, as well as all his tools harmoniously hanged on the wall.
Your private terrace and access to the garden

Your bedroom opens its French window sover a private terrace and Marc's garden.

This terrace is equipped with table and chairs and can allow you to benefit from the garden without going to the creole house.

Breakfast

According to your wishes and to the weather, Marc can serve breakfast in your apartment or in the creole house in the garden.

Breakfast is generous and typically French with coffee, tea, milk, orange juice, butter, jams, yogurt, cereals, dry fruits and season fruits and, of course, fresh baguette and croissants.
Marc will also offer you soft cheese (such as Vache qui rit, emmental or mimolette, you can let him know what you prefer), ham, eggs that you can boiled as you like in the kettle.

If you are gluten-allergic, Marc can replace the traditional croissants by croissants made of maize without gluten, and special bread.

Additional Information

Upon request, an iron and ironing table will be put at your disposal.

Marc's apartment is Wifi equipped. With your laptop, you can get connected to Internet.

2thousand & heaven - our top 5 Paris B&Bs

Bonjour friends! As this year hurls itself uncontrollably to an end; we're reflecting back and have decided 2011should be changed to 2 thousand and heaven - it was a our first full year of operation and a huge success and it definitely felt like a little bit of heaven!

But even more so im sure, for those guests who actaully WENT to Paris!  And so as rated by our wonderful guests here are the top 5 B&Bs in Paris for the year from Petite Paris!! p.s you may start to notice a certain theme..

Number 5: B&B342 (View this B&B here) Located in the Denfert-Rochereau district (14eme)
What did guests say they loved about this B&B? The genuine and magnificent hosts Dom and Erik, who included them in their family life and went above and beyond the expected levels of service such as accompanying guests to pick up hire cars to assist with langauge barriers, offering afternoon teas everyday!. Guests also loved the quaint arty feel of the B&B and all the art books available and ALL of them boasted about the super comfy bed and quality linens and pillows. Funnily, even though guests are given their own ensuite living area next to their bedroom EVERY SINGLE guest said they preferred to spend time together with Dom and Erik in their own family living area - never for a moment feeling uneasy or unwelcome!
We think this is a fabulous testimony to the intimacy we promise our guests for an authentic Parisian life in Paris when they stay at one of our B&Bs!

Number 4: B&B84 (View the B&B here) Located in Montmartre (18eme)
Whats so great about having your own private self contained apartment thats full of creative and arty decor, a bedroom, living room, kitchen and bathroom all set in Montmartre the artistic romantic village of old world Paris?? Um.... how about Herve the host who left our guests little daily messages and gifts of chocolates and other delicacies around the apartment as a surprise for when they returned to the apartment each day, or sat with them for lovely afternoon chats showing off his very charming and humorous character and offering lots of tips and advice on what to see and whats on! But thats just what our guests said... :)

Number 3: B&B371 (View the B&B here) Located in the 17eme
We think Gypsy, the gorgeous little terrier that lives at this B&B with your host Monique is reason enough to love this B&B! But our guests have said other things (as well as Gyspy) made this B&B fantastic! Moniques delightful nature, and her attentive hospitality ensuring guests were all comfortable always, the diverse breakys - always something new and delicious each day, the terraces with the views of the eiffel were a welcome each day, the location and having so many restaurants, cafes, laundromats and other necessities within walking distance. oh and many many comments on the cleanliness of the B&B!

Number 2: B&B241 (View the B&B here) Located in the Island Saint Louis (4eme)
Yet again the highlight of this B&B was first up: Carol the host! We recieved so many reviews absolutely RAVING, BOASTING about Carols friendliness, welcoming nature, her advice and the time and attention she gave to the needs of each of our guests! On top of this, how immaculately presented the apartment and B&B was with carol's little touches that made all the difference such as daily flowers in guests rooms, chocolate gifts etc. Our guests ALL said they felt like long lost friends of Carols, not merely paying guests and many have remained in contact with her. Carols knowledge of Paris was also regularly commented on finally breakfast was a standout too! Fresh platters served professionally and music playing in the background. Some guests shared the apartment with other guests and all commented on how they loved starting each morning with a delicious breaky with other couples (new friends) at Carols home!

WINNER: B&B368 (View it here) In the famous triange Madaleine, Concorde, Opera (9eme)
An the winner is Chantal and Joe!!!! Inundated with nothing but love and appreciation for this amazing couple who our guests love so much they are requesting return bookings a year in advance. Not kidding! When we book this B&B we are so excited for the guests knowing they have booked a winner!
Here's what the last guests had to say:

"Chantal was a friendly, helpful host who went out of her way for us – breakfast was exceptional and she found gluten free products for my wife and recommended restaurants. The room was as comfortable as the 5 star hotels we’ve stayed in. Clean, bright and the perfect base to see Paris from. We chatted with Chantal over tea and she gave us excellent directions, suggested a music recital at the Madeleine Church which proved a most memorable experience of our holiday. We were looking to have a more personal connection with Paris and the Parisian way of life and we very very satisfied on both counts”

and

“The accommodation was perfect, clean and bright. But the reason it was so special was Chantal. She was a great host, always thinking of what we needed and suggesting how to get around and offering great advise. I would 100% recommend this BnB and would only ever stay here on our return.
We thoroughly enjoyed breakfast, there was always an huge choice of bread and pastries and Chantal paid particular notice of my daughters choices to ensure that they were always there again the next day”.

So there you have it. The top 5 from Petite Paris B&B.  What makes us so special and unique is that we deliver what we promise! - a B&B service thats personable that allows guests to meet locals, make friends, experience authentic Parisian life and to feel welcomed and looked after by our amazing, friendly and professional hosts in an inclusive intimate setting! The apartments are all great of course, but its the meeting of new people and friends that make for a truly memorable experience - and thats true of any travel adventure!

We hope to have many more B&Bs added to our roster in 2012! Stay tuned! xx

ABOUT MONIQUE
During the summer of 2004, Monique, who likes to meet people, exchange views and share, created her first B&B in her previous apartment in the Ternes area, 17th district.
In 2008, she moved to the Batignolles area, also located in the 17th district, where she found the apartment of her dreams! It offers a beautiful terrace with trees on the last floor of a 1930s building, and a large idyllic view of the rooftops of Paris, as well as on the Eiffel Tower and the Sacre Cœur. She decided to continue her B&B activity here, a role which fits wells with her other job as a communication coach which she carries out from her home.

Moniques career is in the field of communication. After working as Communication and Marketing Manager in a company, she created her own communication agency though she has been retired since 2010.

As she was born in Alsace and lived in Germany in the past, she still understands German a little. She speaks very good English as she has travelled extensively for business all around the world and especially to the countries North of Europe, in Lapland and Russia. She is also learning Italian and hopes to be able to speak fluently within a few months.

Monique knows Paris very well and will always be happy to offer you her experience or help you to make reservations for shows, restaurants, etc.

THE AREA
Over the last past years, the ‘Batignolles’ area has become fashionable with the young executives wealthy enough to appreciate to living in beautiful Haussmanian buildings with an unexpected ‘village’ atmosphere.

There are many shops, markets (even a ‘bio’ market on Saturdays mornings), the art galleries and many squares with lively cafés and restaurants terraces, it is one of the ‘villages’ in the capital which has kept its soul and one of the most lively and pleasant places in Paris.

The area is very well connected to public transportation (subway, buses) and is only 15 minutes’ from the department stores.

THE APARTMENT
The building is located in a small and quiet street, very close to the main shops and close to the gardens: Parc des Batignolles and Parc Monceau.

Witness its architecture in ‘art déco’ style, beautiful stained glasses decorating the staircase and the entry door. The apartment where you will be welcome by Djeepsy, the cute little Westie, is 75 m2 wide and is located on the 7th and last floor.
As a rare privilege in Paris, it offers on one side a view on the Eiffel Tower and on the other side on the Montmartre Sacré Coeur Basilica. The view on the Eiffel Tower can be appreciated from the terrace where Monique puts outdoor pieces of furniture when the weather is fine.

It offers a large living room of 40m2 divided in three parts: dining room, living / TV room, and office. You will be welcome there after a long day visiting Paris, as well as on the beautiful terrace of 20 square meters, obviously when the weather is fine.
