Paris Spas
Our Top 5 Spas in Paris are:
1. O'Kari
A
traditional North-African hammam exclusively for women in the
Montorgueil district, it has the perfect combination of luxurious
pampering, beautiful setting, all-natural products, and authentic spa
techniques perfected by Arab women for centuries that will have you
glowing. When you enter, the friendly owner Karima will show you to your
locker, where you'll be provided with a robe, towel, flipflops and
disposable panties to wear in the steam baths. Guests are offered mint
tea, refreshing citronnade, or fresh squeezed juice cocktails
and North African snacks in the lounge area. The detox begins in the
mosaic tiled steam room, which twinkles with fiber optic stars. This is
followed on a heated table with a gommage, an all-over body
scrub with an olive-oil based soap that will get rid of the dulling dead
skin build-up. Then a honey-based facial mask is applied and allowed to
set while your hair is washed and untangled. After a quick rinse under
the shower you can relax further in the heated Jacuzzi, surrounded by
North African pottery, candles and soothing music. This basic treatment
costs €150 and lasts about 2 hours. Treatments range from €90-€330, with
a specialty in masks and massages.

2. Four Seasons Hotel George V
Everything about this spa is regal. Marie Antoinette is the inspiration
for the two-and-a-half-hour 'A Stroll to Versailles', which
incorporates orange blossom (reportedly her favourite scent) in a body
scrub, massage and facial. And the treatment rooms, with illustrated
wallpaper and big, cosy massage beds, are certainly fit for a king.
Hair is not forgotten: treatments include Brazilian hair-straightening
and extensions. Locks can be also be styled for an evening out. And as
for the food… Well, you thought the spa cuisine couldn't be bettered -
not an easy feat in Paris. Website

3. Spa Cinq Mondes
Combines beauty rituals from all over the world, so you choose a wide
variety of treatments from Ayurvedic and Taoist massage, Balinese facial
or a slimming Crème de Café ritual from Brazil. Find 5 Mondes in Paris
and also at the Monte Carlo Bay Hotel and Resort, Monaco. Treatments
from 45€.

4. Spa Nuxe
Zen
meets old French limestone for a very chic day spa. Chocoholics should
also head straight here for Phytochoc cocoa treatments - cocoa known for
having anti-ageing properties. The hip 32 Montorgueil is on a bustling
pedestrian street, opposite a chocolate boutique. It’s a spacious chic
retreat located in a former 17th century wine and spirit warehouse.
There are four beauty rooms and a fantastic choice of treatments. TRY:
Ultra Comfortable Treatment with Honey (soothing, repairing and
lipid-replenishing) 95€.

5. l'Apartment 217
A salon as well as an organic spa. This place is terribly chic and something so creative and beautiful.

Alain and Janine in Paris
another Petite Paris Love letter... feedback about Janine and Alain our lovely hosts at B&B333 (click HERE to see their 2 bedroom Paris B&B apartment
Alain and Janine are perfect hosts. They made a great trip to Paris a fantastic and easy one! We felt like we were staying with old friends, they treated us like special guests. We loved them, and really could not imagine any better!
The gave so much information that we wanted, were always available to us. We enjoyed getting to know a little about them and Paris, and were happy feeling we could be left alone if we wanted too.
We LOVED breakfast, it was lovely being served in an outdoor setting when the days weather suited, we were very satisfied with all the croissants, baguettes and homemade ingredients. So many homemade elements for Janine who is a great cook.

Paris. My absolute BEST special peoples list!!!
I got an email from a friend in Paris yesterday, asking me where are the absolute BEST places to eat and listen to music/dance in Paris?? ... and after scouring our 150 page petite paris eGuide book, I came up with the absolute friends and family top secret list ... my very intimate personally narrowed down spots, the picks of the bunch, for my special people ... and then figured fb friends are my virtual family too. Soo... here is my little typo-filled, bad grammatically, unpunctual, miss-spelt, cut up sentenced and badly put-together email back to him... the best of Paris for ALL my special people

A Fab top rated Paris Apartment
knock knock...fabulous Paris B&B feedback coming through...for our most Top rated B&B once more...Genevieves suite in the Marais in Paris. Details, images and links below.
"The apartment was large and beautifully decorated and provided a lot of living space to lounge about in which was a bonus after long day walking. The position was good and close to so many places and as I had not stayed in the Marais before, I thoroughly enjoyed it. My host Genevieve was a delightful person who encouraged me to speak French so I could practice before being set loose on Paris! The breakfast was lovely and more than I could eat. The size of the apartment made it so much better than staying in a tiny French hotel room. As a single traveller, I also had someone to chat to at the end of the day who could help me out with any queries and gave plenty of advice about Paris"....
