Guests are offered in Marie-Christine’s personal home an impeccably looked after basic and typical Parisian guest room, (complete with historic Parisian charm of creaking and slopping wooden flooring, mouldings), a double bed, a private washbasin area connected (ensuite) to the private guests bathroom that is shared with guests in the neighbouring guest room. Breakfast is served in the bright sunny open communal dining/sitting room where Marie-Christine will win you over with her hospitable and charming nature. This B&B encompasses the true essence of the B&B experience and activity.

Marie-Christine has been hosting guests in her B&B in Paris for 30 years. She is an exceptional hostess who loves to welcome and share her home and city with guests from around the world.
Located in the heart of the historic Marais district, in the 3rd arrondissement of Paris, this bed & breakfast is typically Parisian. You will find everything you need right at hand. A 2-minute walk from the Place des Vosges, a 5-minute walk from the Place de la Bastille, and 20 minutes from Notre-Dame Cathedral and so much more. It really is the ideal spot to discover Paris on foot with all main attractions in the area or close by.
The bed & breakfast is located on the 4th floor (no elevator) in the Hotel de Joyeuse, a historic monument. Each guest room has its own character and atmosphere. there are 2 at this B&B. The first guest room offered is the ‘Revolution’ room.
This is a small bright room, 13m2, decorated in warm tones, awash with morning sun. The view of the Rue du Foin is typically Parisian!
Beautifully decorated, the room includes a closet and a well-stocked bookcase.
The small second guestroom 'Victor Hugo' is 15m2 bright room, enjoy hot and spicy notes, cozy comfort, nature around. Beautifully decorated, the room includes a closet and a well-stocked bookcase.

Marie-Christines home is located in an old house, reminiscent of the area (le Marais) with some history. Hence guests will find all sorts odd peculiarities about the home that is so alluringly characteristic of typicak old Paris homes i.e slopping flooring in each of the guest rooms, odd shaped doors etc. Authentic seeking travellers you will love it.
The building dates back from the XVII century, when the King Louis the XIII had the Place Royale built (Place des Vosges since the Revolution). The view from the breakfast room on the roofs is impressive.
There is a piano, and small libraries of books in the rooms, life is simple, easy and happy here.
Your hostess, Marie-Christine, will serve you an excellent traditional French breakfast that is all BIO (organic) consisting of 2 baguettes, croissant or pain au chocolate, eggs, yogurt and fruit, tea, coffee, chocolate and juice and then will unlock the secrets of Paris and help you decide which sites to visit first, according to your interests. She knows Paris inside-out.
