New Year, New Paris, New YOU!

Paris Travel Tips
Our monthly Paris recommendations, finds & info

January in Paris!

January in Paris is all about cafes and shopping! Parisians flood the streets under well-heated terraces and hit the winter soldes (sales) hard - a Parisian ritual that borders on religious. For shopping aficionados, January is definitely a great time to be in the city.  But the best thing is the warmth and charm of Paris' many cafes, so be sure to pack plenty of books for your trip and cafe-hop in the city's historical Latin Quarter or Saint-Germain-des-Prés.

Pariscope
New Year New Paris

Putting on our Pariscope we discover a couple of new hip Paris places that opened in 2013

1. A NEW Cafe in Paris
(The coffee revolution continues)

Loustic
Loustic is the latest IT cafe/good coffee spot in Paris and a must try for any coffee-heads heading to Paris. A classic and modern mix interior, retro geometric patterned couches and wicker chairs, wallpaper and interesting lamps.
There is even a "laptop special" available - 3 cups of coffee with 3 mini-cupcakes for just €10, and wifi is free. A lunch menu puts a fresh spin on French cafe classics too.

40 Rue Chapon 75003

2. A NEW Bar/Restaurant

The Fish Club

Paris's new freshest culinary trend: Seafood and cocktails. French food is fabulous but sometimes you want to shake thing up, and The Fish Club is IT! Mixing seafood with a Sth American twist (peruvian style) paired with delicious drinks, the two-floor bar and restaurant with retro décor, big windows, and graphic tiles, seems all a bustle.

58 Rue Jean-Jacques Rousseau, 75001
