L'Escapadou - to Cordes-Sur-Ciel

Meet our NEW French home in Cordes-Sur-Ciel village - WINNER of the most beautiful French village award for 2014 by the French Tourism Convention.

Available now for booking your French Country Escape, residence L’ Escapadou is a perfect blend of the past and the present.  Original parts of the home date back to the 13th Century, when Templar Nights roamed the cobble-stoned streets of Medieval Cordes. Over time the home has seen things we can only imagine. Today, L’ Escapadou is owned by a French/Australian couple who use the home throughout the year but are based in Melbourne. The home has been beautifully restored to incorporate ruins from buildings that once stood, to now a light filled home set over 3 levels, perfectly perched on the hill and 5 minutes by foot to all amenities.

The owners have great knowledge of home styling and have spent the last 4 years sourcing vintage pieces from flea markets in France to ensure the home is authentic and personable whilst remaining practical for a holiday stay. L’Escapadou extends beyond that of standard rentals and invites you to enjoy a moment in France amongst great aesthetics and charm. Boasting 5 bedrooms, and 2 large living areas, kitchen and large laundry as well as swimming pool, garden, gazebo and balcony.

A tranquil hide away from the big cities in France but still walking distance to all the amenities that await you, just outside your door.

Once you arrive in Cordes you may well not use the car for days but wander thru the winding, mysterious streets that have been walked by so many before us.
